Call it my man child ways but I have a certain place for “scary” kids movies. Think 2006′s Monster House, or 2009′s Coraline. Which brings me directly to ParaNorman which is actually from the makers of Coraline. Between this trailer, the Plot description and the poster I’m already sold on seeing this film come next August 17, 2012 when the film releases. The voice cast is also loaded with talent as well including the likes of Anna Kendrick (50/50), Leslie Mann (Funny People), John Goodman and Casey...

We Need to Talk About Kevin looks like an intense, utterly chilling film. The film is based on a novel of the same name by Lionel Shriver. It appears that it is a film about a mother and son who never bonded, and the kid appears to grow up with some evil feelings about his mother. The trailer is fantastic and does a great job of conveying the feel of the film. The use of Buddy Holly’s “Everyday” is a great choice. The film only has three main cast members: Tilda Swinton, John C. Reilly, and Ezra Miller....

Young Adult is directed by Jason Reitman (Juno, Up in the Air) and written by Diablo Cody (Juno, The United States of Tara). The film stars Charlize Theron, Patton Oswalt, Patrick Wilson, and Elizabeth Reaser. The cast, director, and screenwriter are top-notch, and the trailer does not disappoint.
“Academy Award(R) winner Charlize Theron plays Mavis Gary, a writer of teen literature who returns to her small hometown to relive her glory days and attempt to reclaim her happily married high school sweetheart (Patrick...

Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol is the fourth film in the Mission: Impossible franchise. Tom Cruise is back doing what he does best; playing Ethan Hunt and doing his own stunts. There is a new crew that helps out Ethan in this film. The cast is comprised of Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Paula Patton, Josh Holloway, Michael Nyqvist, Vladimir Mashkov, Lea Seydoux, and Anil Kapoor. I really enjoyed the first trailer and give major props to whoever decided to use an Eminem song. Both the first and second trailer...

The original cast of the American Pie films is back for their high school reunion. American Reunion boasts about every single cast member of the first film. That includes Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Chris Klein, Alyson Hannigan, Tara Reid, Mena Suvari, Shannon Elizabeth, Jennifer Coolidge, Natasha Lyonne, and Eugene Levy. The newest additions are Katrina Bowden, Dania Ramirez, and John Cho. The film looks entertaining and maybe we can all think back and remember what it was...

The second trailer for Underworld Awakening made its way onto the web today. It definitely shows more of the film and more of the new characters. There is one character that was not even mentioned in the first trailer. There is a kid who is lycan/vampire hybrid. Her name is Eve (appropriate, yes?), and she is played by India Eisley. Kate Beckinsale is of course still the lead in this films. She is joined by Stephen Rea, Michael Ealy, Theo James, and Charles Dance. The film is cashing in on the 3D phenomenon and...

I did not watch the original TV series 21 Jump Street as I was pretty young then. I do remember from the parts I did see of it and the commercials for it that it was not a comedy. Enter the film version of 21 Jump Street starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill. This is not a drama by any means. It is a comedy. I don’t quite get the point of even calling it 21 Jump Street. The film also stars Brie Larson, Dave Franco, Rob Riggle, and Ice Cube.
The trailer is a red-band trailer which means that there is swearing...

Dr. Suess’ The Lorax has its first trailer and it is pretty fantastic for an animated film. It introduces you to the world The Lorax is set in, which is rich in color. The trailer is funny. I found myself laughing hysterically during it. The trailer really stuns visually. The film features the voices of Danny DeVito, Zac Efron, Ed Helms, Taylor Swift, Rob Riggle, and Betty White. I am pretty sure I will be catching this in the theatre, and it looks to possibly really good in 3D.
Anyone know what the song...

One For the Money is a film based on the first book of the popular Janet Evanovich series that has Stephanie Plum as the main character. I have not read the series, but I heard that the fans were none too pleased with Katherine Heigl getting the lead role. Stephanie Plum is a Jersey girl who gets a job as a recovery agent after losing her job and being broke. The film also stars Jason O’Mara, Daniel Sunjata, John Leguizamo, Sherri Shepherd, and Debbie Reynolds.
“Katherine Heigl brings Stephanie Plum – the...

Immortals is upon us. The visuals of the film remind just about everyone of 300. They even share some of the same producers. If done right, the 3D could be stunning. I am interested in seeing it just for the mythology it is based on. The trailers do a very good job of showing what the film is going to be like visually. I am thinking if you do not like violence, this probably is not your cup of tea.
Immortals is directed by Tarsem Singh and stars our future Superman, Henry Cavill as Theseus, a human who wants to avenge...

I hadn’t heard of Shame until the poster popped up in my news reader feed the other day. Since then I’ve now seen the trailer for the film that’s been a festival darling since premiering at the 68th Venice Film Festival. It was at the Venice film festival that actor and Shame star Michael Fassbender won a Volpi Cup for best actor for his role in the film. Shame is directed by Steve McQueen who directed the highly lauded Hunger (2008) which also stared Fassbender, and I’ll now be adding to the top of my...

This is the second full trailer for The Muppets. Once again, whoever is doing the trailers for this film is a creative genius and I hope they got paid really well. Not so much for this trailer, but for the whole campaign. I think everyone can be pretty sure that the audience for this in the theatres is going to be a ton of adults that grew up with the Muppets. They never get old. Here is the list of the confirmed characters in The Muppets:
Human Characters:
Gary (Jason Segel)
Mary (Amy Adams)
Tex Richman (Chris Cooper)
Veronica...

This Means War is a film about two CIA agents who are best friends. A problem arises when they both start dating the same woman. The agents constantly try to keep tabs on each other’s dates with the woman and mess the dates up as bad as they can. The agents are played by Chris Pine and Tom Hardy, and the woman is Reese Witherspoon. Chelsea Handler plays Reese’s friend.
The film looks entertaining and I am curious as to how Tom Hardy will do in a comedy. They let him use his accent, so there is a bonus....
