I grew up as a kid in the 80′s and early 90′s. There are some movies that are sacred. They make you remember a certain part of your life. I am not saying that Footloose was that for me, but man, I remember jamming to that Kenny Loggins cassette tape. I do not really agree with remakes of classic films. I never ever want to see a remake of The Goonies or Labyrinth. Hollywood seems to be on a remake and sequel streak that has no end. The “new” version of Footloose stars Kenny Wormald, Julianne...

What if Jennifer Love Hewitt was a guy? Now imagine this guy looks exactly like the guy who played Josh in 2011′s Insidious. Ok now that you have that picture in your head put him in a doctor’s lab coat. Got it? Good. Oh wait did I mention he can also see dead people? I didn’t? Well he can. I bet you are thinking to yourself this sounds eerily like the cancelled CBS show Ghost Whisperer. Well you would be wrong, kind of. This time the Haley Joel Osment wanna be is played by Patrick Wilson...

It’s not everyday that an actress can go from being a little known teen drama actress to a soap opera star to cult hero status, but yet that is exactly what Sarah Michelle Gellar did when she became known as Buffy Summers in Joss Whedon’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer. When Buffy ended its run on the now defunct UPN in May 2003 Gellar showed occasionally on the big screen most notably in The Grudge but has not returned to small screen until this fall in the new noir drama Ringer. Gellar stars in a dual role...

The Amazing Spider-Man‘s first trailer has popped up on one of my favorite trailer sites, Movie-List. Considering The Dark Knight Rises will be released in the theatres around the same time as The Amazing Spider-Man and the San Diego Comic Con is about to start, I guess the trailer would be expected. Alas, this is not a teaser trailer. Many of the actors that are in this film are in this trailer. Of course, Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are in the trailer, but also Dennis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Campbell Scott, Embeth...

If you like fighter planes and history, Red Tailsis the movie for you. The film tells the story of the Tuskegee airmen, the all African-American fighter pilot team that operated during World War II. There looks to be some impressive dog fight scenes, of course, they are CGI. The film stars Bryan Cranston, Cuba Gooding, Jr., Terrence Howard, Brandon T. Jackson, David Oyelowo, Nate Parker, Method Man, Ne-Yo, and Gerald McRaney. The film also has a production credit for George Lucas.
“1944. As the war in Europe continues...

If you stayed after the credits of Captain America, you have already seen this. If you saw an advanced screening of Captain America like me, you did not get to see it. I can’t tell you if there is more to than this than what is shown, but I love what is shown. It starts out with what is shown at the end of Captain America (before the credits) and then goes into a teaser trailer of sorts for The Avengers. Iron Man, Thor, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Captain America, The Hulk, and Nick Fury are all in this movie and their...

I have to say that I was just laughing out loud at the trailer for Tower Heist. This could actually be a good film, and it has Eddie Murphy in it??? The film stars Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy, Casey Affleck, Alan Alda, Matthew Broderick, Téa Leoni, Michael Peña, and Gabourey Sidibe. The film is directed by Brett Ratner. It has a Oceans Eleven type plot with a Bernie Madoff twist.
“After the workers at a luxury condominium discover the penthouse billionaire has stolen their retirement, they plot the ultimate revenge.”
Tower...

What did you think a movie based on the game Battleship would be about? Lame, yes. Alien invasion, no. That is clearly what it is about based on the trailer for Battleship that got released a couple of days ago. Is there not a more interesting, original storyline than an alien invasion? The film kind of gives me an Armageddon-type feel to it based on the love interest being the daughter of the captain of the ship. Battleship stars Taylor Kitsch, Liam Neeson, Brooklyn Decker, Rihanna, and Alexander Skarsgård.
“Peter...

ORLANDO, Fla. (July 19, 2011) — An abandoned scientific research facility in the midst of a vast and frozen Antarctica will set the stage for “The Thing,” an all-new haunted house inspired by Universal Pictures’ upcoming thriller, at Universal Orlando Resort’s Halloween Horror Nights 21. In the thriller “The Thing,” paranoia spreads like an epidemic among a group of researchers as they’re infected, one by one, by a mystery from another planet.
The new haunted house will offer guests an unprecedented first-hand...

There is nothing like a down and dirty soapy drama. You know one that you salivate over every week. The one that you cheer for when the bitch who has had it coming finally gets hers or when the couple you have been rooting for finally hook up. Yeah that one. It’s okay to admit you that you watch them you are among friends here. We do not judge, well Ryan might, but the rest of us won’t. I kid Ryan, I kid.
Well even if you choose to remain in the guilty pleasure closet I implore...

There are two types of people in this world: those that “get” Zooey Deschanel and those that don’t. Not saying anything against Ms. Deschanel, but let’s face it some people don’t like a chick that can be an oddball geek while rocking overalls. Luckily I am not one of those people. This Fall she plays Jessica Day, a girl who gets dumped by her boyfriend in what is quite possibly the most embarrassing way to get dumped and goes off searching for herself….blah, blah, blah. You’ve...
