I have to love a studio that does not shy away from making a ruse trailer for a major movie. The first trailer for The Muppets is actually labelled as a trailer for Green With Envy, and you don’t realize until toward the end that it is actually for The Muppets. I LOVE Muppet movies, and it has been eleven years since the last one. I grew up seeing the show and the movies. I am so glad that Disney has made another one. Along with the staple of our star Muppets, Jason Segel, Amy Adams, and Chris Cooper star in this...

The trailer for The Perfect Age of Rock ‘n’ Roll revolves around the drama of a friendship of two guys, one of which goes on to be part of a successful band. The other is a great musician and songwriter, but has not reached the popularity of the other. The film has a backdrop of Route 66 and an RV driven by a legend producer-type guy that is too cool for school. The film looks to have an interesting mix of drama and music. The film stars Jason Ritter, Kevin Zegers, Taryn Manning, Peter Fonda, Lukas Haas,...

The teaser poster for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 made its first appearance online today, and it is quite a departure from the other teaser posters we have seen for New Moon and Eclipse. I like it. The poster is a preface to the first trailer making its way to the MTV Movie Awards 2011 on Sunday, June 5, 2011. It will also be posted to IMDB.com. We will also post the teaser trailer for the film here, so please check back on June 5th!
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1will be in theatres...

Its exotic pets week on the podcast as I feed my pet caiman this weeks release on the podcast. John (and his pet caiman, Allygator, the not aligator Caiman) is joined by Shannon & Nat from Frothy Girlz. We review Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. We talk about Lars Von Trier, yes again after he claimed to be a Nazi sympathizer at the Cannes (Khan!!!!) film festival and was promptly baned. We also jump into a bit of celebrity worship discussing the downfall...

Finally, there is a trailer for Conan O’Brien Can’t Stop. This documentary is hilarious, and I was able to see it at SXSW 2011. I would gladly see it again. The trailer does a really good job of showing what you will see in the film, along with some of that Conan humor his fans love. Official Synopsis:
After a much-publicized departure from hosting NBC’s Tonight Show – and the severing of a 22-year relationship with the network – O’Brien hit the road with a 32-city music-and-comedy...

Nothing like a little band of southern small town hick roofers to ruin your day (or your life). Straw Dogs is a new thriller starring Kate Bosworth, James Marsden, and Alexander Skarsgård. It focuses on a couple who fix up a family house in a small town and hire some roofers to fix their house. Apparently, these folk don’t take kindly to strangers moving in to town (or at least the husband, since the wife is from this town). I like the trailer, but may I ask my fellow females out there, would you run or exercise...

The second trailer for Real Steel is out, and it gives us a little more of the background of the story. It is not just about boxing robots, but a kind of heart to the story, both about Hugh Jackman’s character and the robot itself. Of course, this is all spawned by Jackman’s son in the movie. Evangeline Lilly, Dakota Goyo, Kevin Durand, Anthony Mackie, and Shawn Levy also star. Official Synopsis:
A gritty, white-knuckle, action ride set in the near-future where the sport of boxing has gone high-tech, “Real...

Who wouldn’t want to have Jennifer Aniston, Colin Farrell, and Kevin Spacey as bosses? Horrible Bosses has those three actors playing crappy bosses to Jason Sudeikis, Jason Bateman, and Charlie Day. Colin Farrell is in a pretty awful costume that has him balding with a combover. The Professor Xavier comment was priceless. I really hope this is a great comedy. There have not been any really good ones in a while, but I have not seen Bridesmaids yet. Official Synopsis:
For Nick, Kurt and Dale, the only thing that...

96 Minutes was a favorite of mine at SXSW 2011. There finally is a trailer for the film that has debuted on the film’s official page. I was lucky enough to be able to interview the cast and review 96 Minutes. The star of this film will be Evan Ross, who has already picked up an award at SXSW. The film also stars Brittany Snow, Christian Serratos, David Oyelowo, and Jonathan Michael Trautmann. Ever since meeting David Oyelowo at the interview, I have seen him in lots of projects. His next up is Rise of the Planet...

It’s hard to believe I’m now at my fourth and final THOR THURSDAY post. The summer movie season gets into full swing this weekend with the release of Marvel Studios THOR. I’ll be honest I didn’t know much about THOR prior to THOR THURSDAY, but now that I’ve been doing them for four weeks, I feel about as ready as I can be for the film to open tomorrow (Friday, May 6).
Being the forth week, I’ve very quickly run through various bits of THOR info, that I feel that I’ve covered most the...

The documentary Buck about the life and work of Buck Brannaman now has a new trailer that debuted yesterday. It is longer and more put together than the first one, which is still available for viewing on the film’s website. There is also a new poster, but I am partial to the look of the first one. The film is being released by Sundance Selects on June 17, 2011. Buck was my favorite film at SXSW 2011. My review of the film and my interview with Buck Brannaman and director Cindy Meehl are also posted to Lost in...
