John and I sit down to discuss the new film Moneyball starring Brad Pitt, Robin Wright, Jonah Hill, and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Does the film live up to it’s literary counterpart? Find out in the video review below.
By Ryan Davis and John Coovert
SYNOPSIS: Moneyball is based on the true story of Billy Beane (Brad Pitt) – once a would-be baseball superstar who, stung by the failure to live up to expectations on the field, turned his fiercely competitive nature to management. Heading into the 2002 season, Billy faces a...

After watching the review check out our interview with the director of Drive Nicolas Winding Refn and read Sarah’s written review, but most of all go out this weekend and see Drive.

There have only been a few moments in my rabid fandom of film that a movie has hit this close to home; Bellflower is one of those films. From the moment the film started I could tell that I was going to like it and by the time it was all over I had fallen in love. Bellflower is just that powerful of a film. Check out the video review below and see why! Bellflower opens in Dallas and Kansas City on September 9th for more information on the film please visit Bellflower.com.

John and I had a chance to check out the the latest edition in this Holloween seasons horror genre Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark. The film is written and Produced by Guillermo del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth, Hell Boy) and Directed by Troy Nixey the film stars Katie Holmes (Batman Begins) and Guy Pearce (Memento) . The haunting tale of a little girl plagued by the hunger of little creatures is a little lacking at times, but is it a total bust? Find out in this video review of Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark.

There are two people in this world: those already lined up for the midnight premiere of The Hangover Part II tonight, and those that are pretty sure they’ve seen this film already when is was just called The Hangover. If you are the latter, you are probably wondering if it’s worth the money and time to venture out for a little reunion with the wolf pack. Well at least you don’t have to decide between 3D and 2D. Watching our video review of The Hangover Part II may help to clear up a few things, and we may have...

Ryan and Angela talk about the new movie Hanna. Hanna is in theaters on April 8th. Hanna (Ronan) is a teenage girl. Uniquely, she has the strength, the stamina, and the smarts of a soldier; these come from being raised by her father (Bana), an ex-CIA man, in the wilds of Finland. Living a life unlike any other teenager, her upbringing and training have been one and the same, all geared to making her the perfect assassin. The turning point in her adolescence is a sharp one; sent into the world by her father on a mission,...

Angela and I sat down during SXSW at the IFC Crossroads House in Austin to talk about the film Small, Beautifully Moving Parts, a film about a pregnant tech-geek that is more interested in the technology surrounding her pregnancy than her actual pregnancy. After a trip to L.A. for a baby shower hosted by her sister, Sarah keeps her rental van and sets out to find her estranged mother in search for answers about herself and her relationship to her unborn child. Find out what we thought about the film in the video review below...

Here in Austin, for SXSW 2011, James Gunn (Slither) premiered his newest film, Super, starring Rainn Wilson and Ellen Page in what has been called the adult-Kick-Ass. The first thing I said was, “Kick-Ass is the adult Kick-Ass.” Well, there were onto something when they said that. If there was a line that was crossed when Kick-Ass came out last year, Super crossed that line, set it on fire and then kept going until they went over the cliff. We had a difference of opinions when it came to our thoughts on Super. Check...

Source Code is definitely one of those films that you want all of your friends to check out, but you have a really hard time trying to sell it to them for fear of spoiling something major. Source Code is a film that teeters on alternate realities and parallel universes throughout and trying to explain something like that to a friend can be daunting. Just tell them to trust you, or physically take them with you to see it again. In the mean time, check out our video review of Source Code and let us know what you think when you...

Paul was definitely one of the most anticipated movies premiering at SXSW 2011. Lost In Reviews had the chance to catch the film and have a great time trying to catch all the movie references. Paul is the ultimate movie nerd’s love affair to all things sci fi. Paul is the story of two British comic nerds that make a road trip that starts with a Comic-Con and continues along the interstate that has the most extraterrestrial activity. On their trip, they pick up a stow away in the form of an alien named Paul. Check out our...

Two dudes get a chance to see a “dudes” type of film as Ryan and John take up arms and review Battle: Los Angeles. This is the summer of action with well known comic book characters Thor, Green Lantern and Captain America arriving in theaters between May and July. In addition to the lesser known graphic novel adaptation of Cowboys and Aliens, and the toy to film roots of Transformers: Dark of The Moon, it would seem that an original non-adaptation in the “alien invaders from space genre,” Battle:...

The Rite is definitely going to wake you up from your winter coma, however, there is such a heavy, hidden meaning within the film, that it can be hard to swallow at times. The Rite stars Anthony Hopkins as the go-to priest for exorcists in Rome. He is quirky and modern, which provides some chuckles, but even he can’t avoid possession all the time. Watch below to see what Ryan and Angela thought of the thriller hitting theatres this Friday that 28th. Let us know what you thought of the film, if you dare to venture out this...

Forget what you knew of the original show, Seth Rogen took the show and kicked it up a notch. The Green Hornet is full of fun and awesome, in that order. The 3D is spectacular for post-conversion as well. Seth Rogen wrote, produced and stars in this film along side Jay Chou as Kato and Christoph Waltz as Chudnofsky. There are also stars such as Cameron Diaz and Tom Wilkinson.
As long as you go into this film with a fun attitude and not in the mood to pick a film apart, you will have no problem loving this film as much as we did....
