Alright, alright, alright. We have a sound of perfection on our hands this week and you just don’t hear that kind of sound enough now-a-days. We have a sound that involves powerful statements about getting rotten queens off the money and on the chopping block, and who can’t agree with that? We have a song about Scotland and a song about riding motorcycles and a few songs about drinking, partying, and whiskey heaven…. That’s right. Like I said, we have pure perfection on our hands, especially for someone like me who...

When we first started this website it was because I wanted to put a spotlight on the movies I loved, change a public view or get ten more people to watch an unknown movie. Now at Lost in Reviews we do tend to focus on the main stream and that’s fine, but that’s not the main goal of the site. If you read our about page and then ventured on to the site it doesn’t seem like the two line up, but if we started out talking about all of the unknown films from the start no one would be reading. So, I hope that I have...

Hellboy: The Bride of Hell & Hellboy In Mexico
Written by: Mike Mignola

Published by Dark Horse Comics
Hellboy is fun. Hellboy weirds you out. Hellboy schools your ignorant comics-reading ass whether you want it to or not but with Hellboy, you pretty much want it. Other than the dark mercurial artwork what I love most about reading Hellboy is how Mignola draws on myth, folk lore, faerie tales and a monster-sized imagination to bring you stories. Being a voracious reader I recognize these influences...

We got exclusive tours of Sega and Natsume’s Booths! We talk about the big titles from each developer and what we thought really stood out.
Sega had an extensive line up of games, as well as some stands for older titles. “Vanquish” was a particularly interesting feature and probably their largest. We got hands on with it, feeling the fast-paced action for ourselves. Here are a few screens for those who’re curious!

Lost In Reviews got a hands on demo with Bethesda’s new title “Brink” as well as trying out Seven 45′s new music game “Powergig: Rise of the Six String”.
Brink is a fast paced first-person shooter, which uses a class based system of abilities. Although, it’s not quite as restrictive a class system like “Team Fortress 2″, it’s much looser and easier to switch around. It’s something that we’ve been looking forward to since we arrived at E3 and the demo we...

This was a last minute concert. I only found out about it the night before. I am a HUGE Paper Route fan. I knew they were playing in Austin, TX on the 15th, but I just visited their myspace page and happened to see that they were playing in Dallas the following night. Paper Route was the second band, with Rubik opening and mewithoutYou being main/final act.
The venue for this show was The Door, which I erroneously referred to most of the night as The Box. It is a small venue with all of the walls and ceilings painted black. The...

It was a lot of fun getting to watch all the presentations and play demos of all these new games that the industry has lined up for this year and the next. Here’s a little grab-bag video of assorted title recaps including: EA Gun Club, Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days, the Retron 3 console, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, Rage, and Fallout: New Vegas. Below the recap, you’ll find a video guide so you can skip right to the parts you really want to see, and I’ve also included some short write-ups about...

So we were lucky enough to get an appointment with 2K (Take-Two Interactive) at E3 this year. They took us behind closed doors to show us some of their big upcoming titles: XCOM, Mafia II, Civilization V, and Spec Ops: The Line. We weren’t allowed to take any pictures or video, so we tried to write down everything we saw and what we thought about them, and have it all here for you in a video recap. We do have a ton of great pictures given to us from 2K themselves, so they’re below the recap for you.

For a company that once said it would never do sequels I found it interesting to be sitting in a seat for Toy Story 3. Toy Story 2 only happened when the original artist behind the first film found out that their money-hungry distributor, Disney prior to buying Pixar, had taken it upon themselves to create a sequel without any of their input. This lead to some initial bad blood between Disney and Pixar but much like the films Pixar produces, all turned out well for the heroes, or in this case Pixar, and ultimately the fans...

The film Please Give is a nice little story about some people waiting around for a bitter old lady to die. Okay, there is a little more to the film than that. The film is like a window into a small group of people’s lives for a little while. Nothing really changes dramatically, and life goes on in the end, but it is what we witness as a viewer that grabs our heart and reminds us of how similar we all are.
Please Give stars Catherine Keener and Oliver Platt as Kate and Alex. They own a very fancy, expensive, antique furniture...

Revenge got ugly, for sure, in Jonah Hex, but with the addition of one solid Action-Western romp, the state of summer movies got a whole lot prettier. As far as I’m concerned, Jonah Hex is the first stunner of the summer. Adapted from the DC Comic after the same name, Hex, stars Josh Brolin, as the film’s namesake, Megan Fox, as his love interest Lilah, and the great John Malkovich, as Quentin Turnbull – Hex’s arch nemesis. Hex was directed by Jimmy Hayward (Horton Hears A Who, 2008), and written by Mark Neveldine...

Warning if you find any of the following offensive you may want to cease reading this review: Dominatrixes, Zombies, Hermaphrodites, Golden Showers, leather outfits, lingerie just about any sexual deviancy you can think of…try to relax and open up your mind a little bit.
Okay, with that out of the way, if you don’t have such delicate sensibilities and morals, are looking for a good dark and wicked laugh, stop what you are doing and make plans to see the Egads! Theater Company production of Eating Raoul The Musical.
