As many of you know, Frank Darabont has been making like HBO — offering Season 2 episodic directorial opportunities to many zombie enthusiasts, despite what criticism he may have received over Season 1 of The Walking Dead. One of the most recently anticipated offers has gone to Edgar Wright, director of the beloved and just-too-popular-to-be-cult classic, Shaun of the Dead.
SXSW 2011 has turned up a little gem this year in an interview that Edgar Wright had with Collider. In it, Wright announced that he was honored...

Let’s face it, AMC has been on a critical roll since the Summer of 2007 with the premiere of Mad Men and then they added Breaking Bad, Rubicon, and critical and rating’s smash The Walking Dead. Granted Rubicon wasn’t watched by many people and it was cancelled after only 1 season, but for those of us who watched the show, well, we miss it and wish it were still with us. Now they have chosen to add the crime drama The Killing to their arsenal a series that gained it’s foundation off of the Danish...

Breakout Kings, while initially developed for FOX landed at A&E, is a show about a group of US Marshalls who use prisoners as a way of catching other prisoners. If you are thinking this sounds like a twisted version of Prison Break you aren’t alone in your thinking. Of course the fact that the show was created by two of the writers/producers of Prison Break, Matt Olmstead and Nick Santora kind of helps push that type of thinking along.
Luckily for Breakout Kings, the premise goes well beyond breaking out of jail,...

Is any one other than me strangely excited to see Jason Biggs on the small screen? I have always felt that he would be better here than on the big screen. Judy Greer on the other hand is jaw-droppingly amazing any where you put her so I am just glad we get her back. And as far as Tyler Labine and Sarah Chalke go, well all I have to say to that is…Yipee! The new CBS comedy Mad Love is about 4 New Yorkers; 2 of which are single and cynical while the other two meet and fall in love. Let the comedy hi-jinx ensue. ...

I have to admit that if it hadn’t been for fellow Lost in Review critic John Coovert, I would never have known that this webseries existed. Because the truth is that I have never been a big fan of the horror genre and if you repeat this I swear I will deny all knowledge but I am a scaredy-cat. Yes, that’s right horror movies of any type freak me the frak out. There I admitted it, are you happy now? Sheesh, can we move on already because even though I am not a fan of horror movies Zombie Roadkill is not a...

Some of you may know this new comedy created by Adir Miler and adapted for American television by Bob Fisher as Mixed Signals. Frankly both titles suck but hey they never asked my opinion. Something which I strongly urge them to reconsider the next time they are faced with a creative decision. Traffic Light is about 3 buddies Mike, Adam, and Ethan all in different stages of their romantic lives.
Mike (David Denman) is the red light of the group or in this case the married guy with a new son who is so desperate for some...

The Chicago Code (aka Ride-Along) is a new drama created by Shawn Ryan (The Shield) starring Jason Clarke (Brotherhood), Matt Lauria (Friday Night Lights), Jennifer Beals (The L Word), Delroy Lindo (Romeo Must Die), Todd Williams (In Plain Sight), and Billy Lush (Generation Kill). TCC films in and around the city of Chicago allowing for a more authentic feel to the show. When it comes to Must See TV I rarely, if ever, get amped up over a cop drama. It simply does not happen. Now this doesn’t mean I don’t...

Out of all the “Friends” to come back to the small screen Matthew Perry is by far my favorite friend. Oh sure I have enjoyed watching Courtney and her new friends drink gallons of wine every Wednesday night on Cougar Town and yes, I have discovered that I enjoy watching Matt LeBlanc play Matt LeBlanc in Episodes, but let’s face it, they are no Chandler Bing, no wait I meant to say they are no Ben Donovan. Oh who cares he’s back and I for one am thrilled about it.
It might be fair to say that Mr....

SPOILER ALERT: This was a really sad episode overall. It’s like watching a divorce happen in slow motion and in four parts. This was also a hard episode to write about because it was a lot about religion and falling out. However, I am not religious, and think a lot of it is bologna. Seeing people being torn apart for having different theories on religion is the least of my worries, but it is the life that all these people share. Although I think Margene could easily be non-religious and it wouldn’t change her a bit. Maybe...

I will admit that when I first heard that MTV was remaking the British teen drama Skins I outwardly expressed my displeasure at this decision. Because let’s face it, hard hitting, realistic teen dramas are not what American television is known for. Whenever a show even remotely touches on real behaviors of the 18 and under set, the show swiftly gets booted from the airwaves while the folks on the Parents Television Council sit back with bated breath hoping that none of America’s children were influenced by what...

A vampire, a ghost, and a werewolf walk into a bar. No, I’m sorry I couldn’t resist, it was too easy. But seriously folks this show had better not be some twisted version of Twilight. I can’t take another interpretation of a whiny girl torn between a sparkly rock or a dog whose hobbies include sleeping at the foot of the bed and chasing little rubber balls.
Luckily for me the girl in this threesome is Sally (Meaghan Rath), an incorporeal being who has more important things on her mind, like the fact that she’s...

As a people, we have always looked for new and inventive ways to entertain ourselves; whether it was Silent Film in the 20s, American Bandstand in the 50s, or YouTube in the 21st century. In keeping with this grand tradition I am introducing a new series to Lost in Reviews called Lost in the Web. Lost in the Web will highlight different Internet television series that are floating around waiting for the viewing public to discover them.
Now I will fore-warn you that the first time you see a webisode you may find yourself ...

The long awaited return of Big Love is here, and the first thing they choose to shock us with is the fact that this will be their last and final season. I became instantly saddened, but then realized that with the path of crazy this show has been leading, if it kept going, it would be on the fast track to soap opera town. So, we only have twelve more weeks to indulge in the Hendrickson’s family life and see what it’s like on the other side. SPOILERS AHEAD.
The season opened almost right where it had left off. It has...

Will the 3rd time be the charm for Christian Slater, not to mention Bret Harrison? Both Slater and Harrison have tried their shot at network TV on 4 separate shows and both have seen their shows cancelled early on in their run. Harrison has fared a little better considering Reaper saw 2 seasons before it got the axe. Breaking In (title may be changed) is a workplace comedy created by Adam F. Goldberg and Seth Gordon about a group of geniuses who are hired to break in to businesses. Although originally ordered to pilot...

One thing is for certain this is not going to be Mickey Mouse’s tale of Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. But hey if you have seen one dancing mop you have pretty much seen them all so I for one am looking forward to seeing the story told as less of a fairy tale and more as an action packed, twisting, and turning drama. Camelot stars Jamie Campbell Bower as Arthur, Joseph Fiennes as Merlin, and Tamsin Egerton as Guinevere and premieres on April 1st at 10pm eastern time. Starz official synopsis:
“In...
