Win advanced screening passes for you and a guest to see REAL STEEL!
A gritty, white-knuckle, action ride set in the near-future where the sport of boxing has gone high-tech, “Real Steel” stars Hugh Jackman as Charlie Kenton, a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring. Now nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next. When Charlie hits...

Hesher is available on DVD and Blu Ray on 9/13/11 so we thought it would be nice to revisit one of favorite interviews from SXSW. Enjoy the interview and make sure you pick up a copy of Hesher this Tuesday.
I had briefly spoken with Director, Spencer Susser and some of the cast before my screening of Hesher at SXSW. However, I loved the film so much that I just had to sit back down with Spencer and pick his brain a bit more about the direction he used and how he shot Hesher. I would urge everyone to check out Hesher this Tuesday...

Win advanced screening passes for you and a guest to see DRIVE!
Breakout Danish director Nicola Winding Refn (THE PUSHER Trilogy, BRONSON, VALHALLA RISING) throttles into the Hollywood fast lane with the precision crafted action caper DRIVE.
Ryan Gosling stars as a Los Angeles wheelman for hire, stunt driving for movie production by day and steering getaway vehicles for armed heists by night. Through a loner by nature, Drive can’t help falling in love with his beautiful neighbor Irene (Carey Mulligan), a vulnerable young...

Before experiencing the film Drive, I was not expecting anything out of the ordinary from it. I watched the trailer a couple of times, and I thought I had a pretty good idea of what to expect from it. After the opening credits started, I realized that this would be a different film, more extraordinary than ordinary.
The opening of the Drive follows Ryan Gosling’s character, Driver, on one of his side jobs. He drives for criminals for a set amount of time, and is pretty rigorous in how he undertakes his job. He is methodical...

Mark Hoppus of blink-182
Kansas City isn’t a big enough town to host too many dilemmas for concert-goers, but on Friday night it had a doozie. After putting out a fantastic, ambient soft rock album, Bon Iver played to a sold out 2,000 capacity Uptown Theater; way out on the side of town, the almost polar-opposite of a band, Top-of-the-World Pop-Punkers blink-182 played an amphitheater nine times as large that looked well-over half full. The divide speaks to blink-182′s appeal – no one could ever argue Pop-Rock...

I am not much for these teases of trailers, but the clip of the second trailer for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 actually shows some new footage not seen in the previous trailer. The full trailer will be released on Tuesday, so come back to Lost in Reviews then to get your fill.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 is in theatres November 18, 2011. Less than 70 days . . .

Angela and I had a chance to check out Steven Soderbergh’s Contagion, a film that makes you want to immediately wash your hands. Contagion has everything it needs to make a great trailer and teaser poster. It has the respectable Oscar winning Director, an A list cast and a hint of intrigue, but does it have what it takes to be a good film? Find out in the video review below.

There have only been a few moments in my rabid fandom of film that a movie has hit this close to home and left me seeing myself in so much of it. Bellflower is one of those films. From the moment the film started I could tell that I was going to like it and by the time it was all over I had fallen in love. Bellflower is just that powerful of a film. So, when given the chance to interview the creator of my new favorite film, Evan Glodell, I jumped at the chance. I hope everyone has the chance to see this film and in the interview...

One could probably assume that the psychology of broken homes and the long lasting thumbprint they tend to leave has been a theme in the humanities ever since, ugh, the Caveman could paint her stories and struggles regarding the daddy issues she gathered when her father Dink was smashed in a T-Rex stampede on the walls of her cave. Hell, even Leo Tolstoy opens his brilliant novel, Anna Karenina with the words “Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.”
Combine that traditional theme...

We had the privilege of sitting down with Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn for an interview when he was in Dallas, Texas. I really enjoyed the film and the uniqueness of it. Through the three questions I was able to ask him, he added another level to the film that I never picked up on. The idea of Ryan Gosling’s character as a superhero never occurred to me, and I am glad he used that word. The interview may contain some little spoilers about the film if you do not know much about the plot of Drive.

Two new teaser posters for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 were released today on Yahoo Movies. Keep in mind that these are teaser posters. The official one-sheet movie poster has not been released. I am hoping the final poster is good because I am not very impressed with these. I actually like the Jacob one better. I have not really liked any of the posters for the Twilight movies save for the original Twilight poster that has Edward looming over Bella in a protective stance. What do you guys think?
The...

Hey it’s a new cop drama. Wait, no, never mind it’s a show about Grimm’s Fairy Tales. Um nope wrong again it’s both. Yeah that’s right I said both. I don’t know if David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf are brilliant or crazy. We all know that cop dramas are television gold these days. However genre television, while often fanyboytastic and convention friendly, are often where ratings go to die. So maybe by bringing the two together NBC has found a loophole, maybe.
Grimm stars...

CBS is not the channel that is known for taking chances. Frankly I consider it a freaking miracle that shows like How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory ever made it on the air, let alone were given the chance to become legen-wait for it-dary. Let’s face it Rules of Engagement is more CBS’s style when it comes to comedy. Heck even Mike & Molly isn’t one of those shows I would expect to air on CBS. So imagine my complete and utter non-surprise (had you fooled there didn’t I?) when...
